《21 Guns》是想表达一种爱国的情怀，阐明了反战主题，同时安慰了对曾经信任过的布什政府如今失望透顶的美国群众。知并氏
2009年12月7日，《21 Guns》被比利·乔·阿姆斯特朗重新创作，并于2009年12月22日以数字单曲形式重新发行，演出过《美国偶像》音乐剧的学员也参与了演唱及创作。
